Shocker Winter Prospect Camp

The Shocker Prospect Camp is designed for high school athletes who are seeking both high-level instruction and an opportunity to be evaluated in a competitive environment. This camp is ideal for players who want to improve their skills, receive honest feedback, and better understand where they stand as they continue their development.

Campers will receive instruction from experienced college-level coaches, with a focus on advanced skill development, fundamentals, and game awareness. Instructional sessions will include position-specific drills, skill work, and competitive scenarios designed to help players continue to grow and refine their game.

Throughout the camp, players will be evaluated on their skills, athleticism, effort, and coachability during drills and live-action situations. The competitive structure of the camp allows athletes to showcase their abilities while also gaining valuable instruction and feedback.

Wichita State Baseball Camps

Shocker Winter Youth Skills Camp

The Shocker Youth Skills Camp is a one-day camp designed to help young athletes learn, grow, and have fun in an energetic and positive environment. Camp will run from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, giving campers three action-packed hours of instruction, skill work, and games.

Throughout the camp, participants will receive hands-on instruction from Shocker coaches and staff, with a strong emphasis on teaching proper fundamentals and building confidence. Campers will rotate through a variety of skill stations and drills that focus on developing core skills, improving athletic movement, and learning the game in a way that is both engaging and age-appropriate.

In addition to instruction, the camp will include competitive games and fun challenges that allow campers to apply what they’ve learned in a supportive setting. Our goal is for every camper to leave with improved skills, greater confidence, and an even bigger love for the game.

Wichita State Hitting and Infield Skills Camp

Hitting Session
Led by Wichita State Head Coach Brian Green, this session is designed to help hitters build a more consistent, powerful, and confident approach at the plate. Coach Green has established himself as one of the top offensive minds in college baseball, with a track record of developing hitters, building nationally recognized offenses, and helping players reach the next level. Instruction will focus on swing mechanics, approach, timing, and creating an offensive plan that translates into game performance. Players will receive individualized coaching and feedback while participating in drills designed to improve consistency, bat speed, and overall offensive production.

Infield Session
Led by Wichita State Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator Marty Lees, this session will focus on developing fundamentally sound infielders who can make an impact defensively. With decades of collegiate coaching experience and a reputation as one of the game’s premier infield instructors, Coach Lees has helped develop countless championship-caliber players throughout his career. Instruction will emphasize proper footwork, glove work, throwing mechanics, double-play turns, game awareness, and defensive efficiency through high-repetition, game-like drills. Players will leave with the tools and techniques needed to become more confident and consistent defenders.

Wichita State Pitching and Catching Skills Camp

Pitching Session
Led by Wichita State Pitching Coach Anthony Claggett, this session is designed to help pitchers improve their mechanics, command, velocity potential, and overall effectiveness on the mound. A former Major League pitcher with years of professional playing experience, Coach Claggett brings firsthand knowledge of what it takes to compete at the highest levels of baseball. Instruction will focus on efficient pitching mechanics, command of the strike zone, pitch development, arm care, and developing a competitive mindset. Through individualized instruction and drill work, pitchers will gain the tools needed to perform with greater confidence and consistency.

Catching Session
Led by Wichita State Assistant Coach Collin Wilber, this session is built to develop complete catchers who can impact every aspect of the game. Coach Wilber has earned a reputation for developing catchers through detailed instruction, emphasizing the fundamentals and advanced skills required to excel behind the plate. Players will receive instruction on receiving, blocking, footwork, throwing mechanics, and leadership while participating in high-repetition, game-like drills designed to improve defensive performance and confidence.
